Just a little bit…

Flutist Sylwia Kozlowska, a native of Poland, is an active teacher, soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician, flutist. She has critically acclaimed by some of the best artists and flute teachers in the world as William Bennett, Andras Adorjan or Berten D’Hollander for her rich tone, excellent technique, very good ear and uncommon musical personality. At the age of 23 she became Principal Flute of Polish Opera Orchestra under the artistic director, maestro Marek Tracz. As a member of this orchestra she performed throughout Europe and China for three consecutive years of her life. They played on the most famous stages in Europe and Asia, such as Berlin Philharmonic, Wiener Konzerthaus, Tonhalle Zürich, Gewandhaus Leipzig or the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Born in Kielce, Poland in 1983, Sylwia Kozlowska began her musical education under the guidance of one of the most successful in teaching children flute pedagogue in country, Małgorzata Kacperska. Under Kacperska’s wings Sylwia became the winner of the contest on the 2nd Flute Festival in Sieradz/Poland in 1997. She continued her flute education in famous (in Poland) flute class of Cezary Traczewski.
Sylwia Kozlowska received bachelor’s degree in the class of Grzegorz Olkiewicz. She continued her studies in Köln/Germany with Robert Winn (former Principal Flute of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London).
However, only the studying with Berten D’Hollander in Belgium has had most influence on the musical development of Sylwia. It brought the maturity and confidence in the expression through playing the instrument. Sylwia cooperates with an unusual personality, amazing musician and pianist Filippo Rosini creating duo, playing classical music with the innate elegance and professionalism. This dynamic flute and piano duo have been inspiring audiences in Belgium for the past years. Sylwia Kozlowska has performed and competed in many international music festivals and has also made appearances with many orchestras including Deutsche Radio Klassik Pops Orchestra with live recording in 2008.
